The origin of its name has little to do with sex, but rather pure marketing. A peach liqueur company launched a bartending competition in the 1980s and a bartender named Ted Pizio created this cocktail with Florida’s sex and beach attractions in mind, motivated by the US$100 prize he eventually won. Pizio came up with the famous combination of natural juice with a base of liqueur and vodka. Since then it has been a hit and several variations of the Sex on the Beach have emerged. You can prepare it at home, at a romantic dinner or order it when you want to feel like the star of the party. Every occasion is the perfect occasion to enjoy a cocktail with an exotic and pure taste like De Cajon vodka.

Preparation: Mix your favourite natural juice with a base of liqueur and De Cajon vodka in the shaker or directly in the glass. Shake well to combine the different flavours and serve with plenty of ice. As a liqueur, you can try Schnapps, which is a typical brandy from German-influenced countries, made by fermenting and distilling cereals and fruits. It has an alcohol content of over 32 degrees and the usual fruits are peaches, pears, plums, apples, apricots, cherries.
